William H. Seward Yacht Club

 Founded in 1975!

Welcome to our website!

If it's club information that you need, look here first!

An article in the May/June 2012 Ocean Navigator magazine led your webmaster to find a new all-platform and free chart plotting program: OpenCPN. See the Resources page.

The current clubhouse door code is set for April. "We'll do our best to keep the door code up to date.", saith the Commodore.

The clubhouse needs some new furniture. The older items are showing their ages (don't we all?) and should be retired. If you have some decent old furniture that you don't need but wouldn't mind seeing for a few more years, let the Commodore know. We would also like a "kegerator" or refrigerator for a beer keg.

Sailing Inc will offer ASA Sailing Instructor classes for the first time. Download their flier for more info.

Riggers will arrive in early May. A basic rig tuning is $150. Contact Commodore Sam Steele for more information.

The webmaster has fixed all broken links and added several links to Resources. Take a look!

Snow loads sink boats! We have a new site page that explains the dangers of the snow loads that our boats are accumulating. Get a cover or get a shovel!

The Club by-laws have changed. The Club fee-schedule has changed. The renewal form is different. This information has been updated on the site. Please use the 2012 join/renewal form: Click on the "Membership Information link, then on the "Join or Renew Information" link or click here.

The Seward Mariners' Memorial has a website. Visit often for updates on the project.

If you missed the excellent presentation on diagnosing electrical circuits, or just need to review, here's the Powerpoint!

The yacht club has a Facebook site! Have a look. Thanks to Mike Busey, John Baker, and Sam Steele.
